1. Who we are

Selectio.in ("Selectio", "we", "us") operates an online platform for photography studios to deliver client galleries, transfers and invoices. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Selectio.in is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us at studio@selectio.in.

2. What we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, login credentials.
  • Studio and client data you add — client names, contact details, gallery events, invoices and uploaded photos/videos.
  • Support messages — correspondence you send to us.
  • Usage and telemetry — pages viewed, feature usage, download events.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type and device identifiers.

Payment card and billing details for purchases are collected directly by our payment processor, Cashfree Payments, and are not stored by Selectio.in.

3. Why we use it (and legal basis)

  • To create and manage your account and provide the service — performance of a contract.
  • To store and deliver your galleries, transfers and invoices — performance of a contract.
  • For security, fraud prevention and abuse detection — legitimate interests.
  • To improve the product through aggregated usage analytics — legitimate interests.
  • For customer support — legitimate interests.
  • To send marketing where you have opted in — consent (you can withdraw at any time).
  • To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations — legal obligation.

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers and subprocessors that host and operate the platform (cloud hosting, storage, analytics, support tooling).
  • Cashfree Payments, our payment processor, for billing, payments and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
  • Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Selectio.in is based in Lisbon, Portugal. Some of our service providers process data outside your country of residence, including in the UK, EEA and United States. Where personal data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above — typically for the life of your account plus a limited period for legal, tax and dispute purposes. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. Transfers sent through the platform expire and are deleted after 10 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, email studio@selectio.in — we respond within one month.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and row-level isolation between studios.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for sign-in and security. Where we use analytics cookies, they are used to understand aggregate usage; you can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the "last updated" date above will change.
